Naming Enchantment Park's Ogre #
You can’t go to Enchantment Park without saying hello to our friendly Ogre. He’s big and green, but he needed a name.
So, we turned to the students from local Yanchep primary schools. Our ‘Name Enchantment Park’s Ogre’ competition was a big hit, and we had hundreds of entries.
Students submitted their name suggestions, plus ideas about what his favourite things would be, what adventures he likes to go on, and what he likes to eat. We loved reading all the suggestions from so many creative minds.
But in the end, there could only be one…
INTRODUCING OTTO
Named by Lillie, 9yrs old from Yanchep Lagoon Primary School.
Otto loves going for walks in the National Park. On his adventures, he collects magical crystals and shimmering shells. And after his long walks, you'll find Otto treating himself to his favourite food - fairy cupcakes. Yum!
Thanks, Lillie, for helping us bring Otto to life! It really is the perfect name for our adventurous friend.
You can find Otto guarding his bridge next to the flying fox at Enchantment Park. Next time you visit, see if you can find him, take a selfie and tag us on Facebook @indiyanchep.
